So every blogger under the sun, design or otherwise, appears to be frothing at the mouth over the new Ikea catalogue. I haven't had a chance to peruse it at length, but thanks to the continual sharing of this one green velvet sofa, I've joined the Ikea lovefest.
I love velvet. I think it's genetic; my sister is the same (only 10x worse. Or better?). Anyway, all this is to say that I was drooling over Ikea's new green velvet Stolkholm sofa and obviously felt the need to design a mood board around it. So here we are:
- Colourful but muted Jellyfish rug from Anthropologie.
- Anthropologie brass rod w/ Urban Outfitter's mercury glass finial and pale pink striped drapes from Kravet.
- Gallery wall.
- The ubiquitous green velvet sofa from Ikea.
- Crate & Barrel geometric side table with glass-base Attica lamp.
- Mid-century coffee table from Ikea.
- Speckled floor lamp from Attica.
- Distressed leather 'Barcelona'-esque chair, also from Attica.
- Crate & Barrel bar cart.
- Ivory Etched Dresser from Anthropologie to house the television.
