This is a little mood board I've been playing around with lately. I love the idea of using vintage maps as art - especially if that map is of some place meaningful. I pulled together the rug and drapery fabric because of the way they tied into the map. Once I got started, the rest of the room just came together. I love the way all the different textures play together in this space. I think it could work for either gender!

Love this! Great as a "gender-neutral" space and I love vintage maps too! I have one of Belize (where I got engaged) :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! That's so awesome - I love art with sentimental value!
DeleteSo cozy!
ReplyDeleteThanks beauty!
DeleteWe have a big vintage map of Paris above our fireplace and a lot of people comment on it when they come over. We went on our honeymoon there, so it's meaningful to us. We were sure to find one post-1889 so it has the Eiffel Tower in it (I think ours is from 1910-ish). It's a great and easy way to add interesting artwork to a room. Love everything in this mood board!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that! Pretty much the MOST sentimental, haha.
